U.S.–Norway Correctional Culture Change Program to Advance Solitary Confinement Reform



The U.S.–Norway Correctional Culture Change Program to Advance Solitary Confinement Reform (a 2-way immersion program for correctional officers, wardens and other correctional facility leaders in the US and Norway) will introduce U.S. participants to innovative, humane and effective approaches to correctional culture change and conditions of confinement reform.



The U.S.–Norway Correctional Culture Change Program to Advance Solitary Confinement Reform (a 2-way immersion program for correctional officers, wardens and other correctional facility leaders in the US and Norway) will introduce U.S. participants to innovative, humane and effective approaches to correctional culture change and conditions of confinement reform. The program will build on the successful program and adapt it to motivate and support front line staff to develop culture change programs designed to support solitary reform and other correctional practices that run counter to decreasing recidivism and improving health and rehabilitation.
